A rainbow in the spray at the top of Murchison Falls, Uganda, where the normally wide and calm River Nile is forced into a chasm 7m / 23ft wide.
Situated between Lake Kyoga and Lake Albert, the Victoria Nile, as this section is called, drops 43m at this point, at a rate of 300 cubic metres per second, one of the most powerful waterfalls in the world.
Around the waterfall is one of Uganda’s oldest protected wildlife areas, Murchison Falls National Park.
