This particularly handsome Lion, Panthera leo, was rescued by the AfricCat Foundation and released in Okonjima Nature Reserve. He was regularly fed at first light, so guests in the reserve had the opportunity to observe him at close quarters while drinking our early morning coffee or tea. This is another ‘vintage’ image, originating as a 35mm slide.
