A Black-rumped Flameback (Dinopium benghalense), also known as Lesser Golden-backed Woodpecker or Lesser Goldenback.
Black-rumped Flamebacks are a large Woodpecker found throughout the Indian subcontinent, including Sri Lanka, in four subspecies. Their main food is beetle larvae picked out from under the bark of trees, but they also eat nectar as well as termites (from mounds) and opther insects, which they can catch by darting out their long tongue.
