Silhouettes of birds on a leafless tree in Kruger NP

A Marabou Stork Leptoptilos crumenifer, and three Black-headed Storks Ardea melanocephala, in a Leadwood tree Combretum imberbe, at sunset in Kruger National Park, South Africa.

Leadwood trees produce the heaviest wood in Africa – the wood actually sinks in water. After they die, they can take a hundred years to fall, providing interesting shapes to the landscape – and silhouettes for sunset photos!
