Samburu Woman

The beads reveal a lot of information about the wearer: for example, whether she is married or a widow, whether she has children, whether she has a circumcised son.
The metal decoration on this woman's forehead, glinting in the sun, is the tradional Samburu fertility symbol, worn by the women from puberty "until she is forty ".
These are made by a blacksmith
