Greater Kudu in Etosha National Park, Namibia

Tragelaphus strepsiceros

Greater Kudus are found throughout Namibia, except in the Namib desert.
They are great runners, and we saw a group leaping over a high fence.
Female kudus, running
Adult male Greater Kudus have beautiful spiral horns.
These are so heavy that when he runs he has to hold his head back, so that his horns are almost parallel with the ground, to balance his weight.
